Latest Parent Update
Monday, June 22, 8:01 PM update for Tuesday, June 23: Florida Burn 12U’s Cooperstown tournament run has concluded. No urgent updates are posted here tonight. Tuesday priority is move-out/departure wrap-up, final gear checks, and watching GroupMe/coaches for any live team instructions.
- Schedule/game status: TourneyMachine still shows Florida Burn’s final bracket result as Mansfield Horned Frogs 13, Florida Burn 9. No new Florida Burn game is posted.
- Parent priority: check GroupMe before leaving lodging or campus. Coaches/GroupMe remain the live source of truth for pickup, gear/laundry return, bunkhouse timing, photo, or team wrap-up instructions.
- Tuesday reminder: if your family is still on the Cooperstown schedule, use Tuesday as the departure buffer: confirm all uniforms, belts/socks, cleats, towels, bedding, pins/cards, chargers, toiletries, and personal items are accounted for.
- Weather priority: NWS shows showers/thunderstorms tonight, then mostly cloudy Tuesday with a high near 76 and low daytime rain chances. Keep wet-gear bags/towels handy and check the official forecast before driving.
- Official schedule note: official schedule/results pages may still update; use TourneyMachine/Cooperstown links plus GroupMe/coaches for final live instructions.
What Parents Should Do Now

- Purchase and pack white pants, coach-directed belt(s), turf shoes or molded cleats, and extra red/navy socks if desired.
- Label all player clothing, gear, towels, and bedding.
- Save the Cooperstown Scores & Results and LeagueApps links.

Uniform Shopping Options
For families still shopping, here are example options shared with the team:
Tips Shared by Team Families
These are practical parent-to-parent tips shared by families currently at Cooperstown. Treat them as helpful field notes, not official Cooperstown rules.
No Nuts / No Sunflower Seeds
A team family shared that one player has a severe peanut and tree-nut allergy, and asked that sunflower seeds also be avoided. Please do not bring or share peanut butter, peanuts, tree nuts, sunflower seeds, or sunflower-seed snacks around players or team areas.
Navy Undershirts
It may be cold during Cooperstown week. If players wear an undershirt, the team should all wear the same color: navy. This is an optional example shared with the team, not an official Cooperstown requirement: navy undershirt option.
Parking & Bags
Opening morning can be chaotic. If possible, arrive the day before or early enough to secure nearby parking. Bunkhouse move-in does not open until later, so parking close helps avoid dragging bags around for a few hours.
Pins & Cards
Pin and card trading is a big part of the Cooperstown experience. If your player has rare or favorite pins, consider keeping one or two aside for family keepsakes before the trading starts.
